The Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of a sophisticated, multi-component platform.

You will work closely with engineering and product teams to support infrastructure, optimise deployment processes, and enhance system resilience. The platform includes backend services, APIs, and integrations with external systems, requiring a strong focus on stability and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with developers to support deployment and release processes
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices and tooling
• Monitor systems and respond to production issues (including on-call)
• Document infrastructure and operational processes
• Drive ownership and clear communication across engineering and business teams

Requirements

• Strong experience working with Linux-based systems
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with cloud environments
• Experience setting up and managing networking infrastructure (e.g. load balancing, secure connectivity)
• Experience working with infrastructure-as-code principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in production environments with high reliability requirements

Nice to Have

• Experience with major cloud providers
• Familiarity with infrastructure tooling (e.g. Terraform, Helm, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling
• Experience with backend languages such as Go or Python
• Experience working in complex, high-throughput or regulated environments
• Background in financial services or similarly complex domains
