The Role
We are seeking a Platform Support Engineer to help maintain and support a suite of critical production systems and internal applications.
You will be responsible for ensuring high availability across environments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the smooth operation of a complex platform. The role involves working closely with engineering and business teams to resolve incidents and improve system performance.
This position suits someone who is comfortable operating in high-pressure environments and enjoys solving complex technical problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support production systems to ensure high availability and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely and structured manner
- Work closely with engineering teams to diagnose and fix underlying issues
- Support test and non-production environments as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and operational best practices
- Maintain clear documentation and communication around incidents and resolutions
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in application or platform support roles
- Experience supporting complex, production-grade systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in high-availability or mission-critical environments
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working flexible hours where required
Nice to Have
- Experience with Linux systems and scripting
- Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, SQL)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Experience with ticketing or incident management systems
- Background in financial services or similarly complex environments
